Klamauk hits London

This time i went to London with my two buddies Dennis and Paul to be part of the first Klamauk Labelparty there, presented by Ears have Eyes at Visions Video Bar in Dalston. Leif joined us to increase the Klamauk crew for this Party.
After a typical Ryanair trip we landed at Stansted Airport on Thursday 27th. The one hour drive with a minibus to central London was the first impression we will surely never forget. Our driver seemed to be a wannabe formula one driver. It was very fast and bumpy, the traffic couldnt stop him! Eventhough we arrived at the famous Bakers Street where we met two of our hosts Miles and Karlie from Ears have Eyes. About the first night, i dont remember clearly, but we surely had fun :-) Next day we woke up because of the tasty smell of a typical english breakfast. Beans, bacon and eggs. Great hangover breakfast. There was still enough time to walk around Bricklane and check out the stores. It’s a must see part of London. In the evening we went to Visions Video Bar to prepare the night and do the soundcheck ( with “All i want for Christmas” ). Our roommates Ash and John started with a perfect warm up set. Slow grooves in the beginning, getting faster till Leif took over and showed his talent how to play a wonderful deephouse set. The people thanked him with filling the dancefloor. At 3 am i got to the turntables and tried to hold the high level of music. Thanks to Pepe Bradock, it worked really well. But the DJ, who played after me, honestly made the crowd even wilder with his combination of dubstep, shitty ed banger stuff and commercial hiphop music. Anyway the party was a big success for klamauk and myself, a real pleasure and i will never forget it! Even some of my university mates came from germany to join us, which i really appreciated. But as usual the night was not over at 6 am, it still took some moments, records and lots of beer, till we fell asleep happily satisfied. i dont know when we woke up the next day, but i remember it was a relaxing one until we got the big tour at Fabric with one of our new mates Paul. In the end we stayed at Fabric till the morning and got an illegal cab back to our home. This guy had such a great soul cd playing and his driving skills reminded me of our minibus driver from thursday. Too long to explain but the trip was extraordinary, haha. On sunday we checked out the city on our own, ending at Soho to find some of the famous London recordshops. The best one for me was Phonica, where i found  some long-awaited records from Kyle Hall and Flying Lotus. Satisfied and without any money left we went back to enjoy our farewell dinner, which Karlie certainly prepared the whole day. It was so kind and it completed this great weekend. I met so many nice people those days, everybody found a place in my heart. Definitly we will come back sooner as they wish, i bet! Thank you, Karlie, Miles, Ash, Jon, Leif, Paul and the rest of all the guys we met. See you soon!
